About the event
On September 9th, the Georgia Peace Officer Standards and Training Council voted to confirm the status of the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office Regional Training Center. LCSO-RTA has now been approved as a full-service, POST-sanctioned academy, allowing us to expand the training opportunities available to law enforcement agencies throughout our region.
This event is an opportunity for local sheriffs, chiefs, agency leaders, and our community partners to tour the facility, meet academy staff, and learn more about where the academy is headed. More importantly, we want the agencies we serve to have a voice in that direction. Throughout the day, LCSO-RTA adjunct instructors will be working through lesson planning and course development, and any agency leadership who would like to sit in, offer input, or become involved in that process is encouraged to do so.
